1. Do you know Jesus?
If you don't know Jesus we invite you to discover who he is!
Jesus was a real person who lived over 2,000 years ago. Read the multiple eye witness accounts of who Jesus is and what He said. This is recorded in an ancient manuscript that is readily available in our times in multiple translations and online. It is the Bible. You could start by reading the book written by his close friend, John.

You may have heard of Jesus or even been a church goer without knowing that an encounter with Jesus, and an ongoing relationship with Jesus, is available to you . Ask Jesus to reveal himself to you and be alert for ways he will prompt your thoughts, attention and feelings – especially when you are reading the Bible. Real relationships take time so set time aside to encounter his presence and hear his word to you.
2. Do you revere Jesus?
To ‘revere’ is to regard with respect tinged with awe; to venerate. our reverence means respect, admiration, worship, awe, venerate astonishment, amazement, devotion.
The more we know Jesus the more we become compelled by his beautiful generous, kind, gracious nature and by how much he knows us and cares about us. To revere Jesus is to join in the night and day 24/7 eternal worship of heaven. To revere Jesus is to radically surrender as Jesus’ disciple and to radiate his likeness – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. (Galatians 5:22-23)
When we revere Jesus we live in intimacy with our Father through Jesus and the Holy Spirit’s revelation and blessing – and overflow this to those around us. It is how we make Jesus’ kingdom visible on earth.
John 14:12-18 “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever the Spirit of truth… you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.”
3. We revere Jesus as the Lamb of God.
John 1:29 “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!”
Jesus is described as the Lamb of God 38 times in the New Testament! In this era we tend to venerate the characteristics of the Lion - and overlook the Lamb.
During the 40 Day Prayer Relay ( 14 February - 25 March 2018) we will release 40 Daily Inspirations that focus on Jesus as the Lamb of God on the cross; and reflect on the Bible revelations of Jesus’ character as the Lamb; and unpack why the counter-culture characteristics of a lamb are so relevant to who Jesus is and who we are called to be in these end days. See more about this under 40 Day Prayer Relay.
